My Juv Red got spooked(started jumping) 2 days ago, last night it got spooked again, this time 3 scales dropped. Is there any remedy to calm him down?The jumping is more like bait fish escaping a predator, ps, he is the only fish in the tank.

The jumping is more like bait fish escaping a predator, ps, he is the only fish in the tank. Black water can calm it down. Or dun turn on ur tank light to let it stable down 1st.

yes, add black water until the water is brownish in color and cant really see the fish when the fish swim at the back of the tank.. black water will clam the fish down, and OFF the light for the time being will also help
>PH too high, monitor for 3 days before feeding again, do not do WC. Coral chips can cause PH level UP, beware.
>If water parameters is good, leaving the light on and getting 1 or 2 friendly tankmates (blood parrot, TFB, polo etc...) might help. Tank mates should not be bigger than juv red.
